Ready to take the Official DMV Road Test but don't have a car? Unsure what to expect, and want some professional coaching beforehand?
We can help.
With this package we'll help you schedule your official DMV Road Test with the examiner's office, and we'll pick you up at least one hour before your scheduled test time.
Our instructor will show you the expected (though not guaranteed) road test route, review all the required skills with you and ensure you know how to achieve a perfect score during the real exam. We'll even set up cones in a parking lot to simulate the parking skills portion of the test.
During the test, our instructor will wait inside the DMV while you and the official examiner use our vehicle for your road test. If you succeed, you get your driver license right then. The entire process, from start to finish, takes about 1 hour - while the actual road skills test typically lasts about 15 minutes.
After you get your license, you'll drive yourself home and the instructor will return the vehicle for you.
Common questions
What do I need in order to rent your vehicle?
We only require a valid Florida learner's license or permit. Permits from other states may also be accepted on a case-by-case basis. You'll need to check with the DMV for required ID or proof of address documents. Your test session will be cancelled if you don't have the necessary documents or if you cannot pass a basic vision test. If you wear glasses, please bring them.
How long does this session last?
About two hours, but sometimes longer. Almost never more than 2.5 hours, but you are not charged for any overage. Our instructors will help you schedule this session during a time that works for you, us and the DMV.
What if I'm unsuccessful during my road test attempt.
That does occasionally happen. Our instructors have good relationships with the DMV examiners. With you present, we'll talk with them to get pointers on the skill areas that still need work. We can often review those skills during the ride home, with no additional training needed. But, of course, we are available for additional lessons if you like.
Can I just rent the car without the instructor if I have a licensed driver with me?
Unfortunately, no. We offer a test prep package and the car is included. We do not offer a car rental service.
